Frequently AskedQuestions
Everything you need to know about working with PentaSynth on your MVP, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure projects.
MVP Development
How long does it take to build an MVP?
Most MVPs take 6-12 weeks depending on complexity. We focus on launching the core features needed to validate your idea, not everything on your wishlist. A simple web app might take 6-8 weeks, while a more complex application with mobile apps could take 10-12 weeks.
What's included in MVP development?
Our MVP development includes: requirements analysis, UI/UX design, full-stack development (frontend, backend, database), cloud deployment, CI/CD setup, basic monitoring, and post-launch support. We deliver a complete, production-ready product—not just a prototype.
Do I need a technical co-founder to work with you?
No. We act as your technical partner, handling all technical decisions and implementation. We explain everything in plain language and keep you informed at every step. Many of our clients are non-technical founders who successfully launched their products with us.
Do I own the code and intellectual property?
Yes, 100%. You own all the code, designs, and intellectual property we create for you. We work under a standard work-for-hire agreement. The code is yours to use, modify, or sell as you see fit.
What technologies do you use for MVP development?
We choose the right stack for each project. Common choices include: React or Next.js for web frontends, React Native or Flutter for mobile, Node.js or Python for backends, PostgreSQL for databases, and AWS or GCP for cloud infrastructure. We pick based on your specific needs, not trends.
What happens after the MVP launches?
We offer ongoing support packages for bug fixes, feature development, and scaling. Many clients continue working with us long-term as they grow. We can also help you transition to an in-house team when you're ready.
DevOps & Cloud
When should a startup invest in DevOps?
As soon as you have a working product. Good DevOps practices from the start (CI/CD pipelines, proper monitoring, infrastructure as code) prevent costly rewrites later. Even pre-revenue startups benefit from proper infrastructure.
What's the difference between hiring a DevOps engineer and using your services?
You get senior-level expertise at a fraction of the cost, with no recruiting, onboarding, or HR overhead. We also bring patterns from working with many startups. A full-time senior DevOps engineer costs $150K+ annually; our services cost significantly less and come with multiple engineers' worth of experience.
Which cloud provider do you recommend?
It depends on your needs. AWS has the most services and largest market share. GCP excels at data/ML workloads and has simpler pricing. Azure integrates well with Microsoft ecosystems. We help you evaluate based on your specific requirements, team expertise, and budget.
Do you work with Kubernetes?
Yes, extensively. We help startups design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS, Google GKE, or Azure AKS. However, we'll also tell you if Kubernetes is overkill for your use case—sometimes simpler solutions are better.
How do you handle cloud costs?
We design for cost efficiency from the start: right-sizing resources, using reserved instances where appropriate, implementing auto-scaling, and setting up cost monitoring and alerts. Many clients see 30-50% cost reductions after we optimize their infrastructure.
Can you help with SOC2 or HIPAA compliance?
Yes. We help startups prepare for compliance audits by implementing proper security controls, encryption, access management, audit logging, and documentation. We've helped multiple clients achieve SOC2 Type II certification.
Working with PentaSynth
How do you charge for your services?
We offer three engagement models: (1) Project-based with fixed scope and budget for initial builds, (2) Monthly retainer for ongoing support and development, (3) Embedded/part-time for teams needing consistent DevOps presence. We'll recommend the best model based on your needs.
Where is your team located?
We're based in India with team members working across time zones. We have significant overlap with US, European, and Asian business hours and are responsive on Slack/email throughout the day.
How do you communicate during projects?
We use Slack for day-to-day communication, weekly video calls for demos and planning, and shared project management tools (Linear, Jira, or your preference) for task tracking. You'll always know what we're working on and what's coming next.
Can you work with our existing team?
Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with in-house developers, designers, and product managers. We adapt to your workflows and tools, not the other way around.
What if the project scope changes?
We work in agile sprints, so we can adjust priorities based on what we learn. For significant scope changes, we discuss the impact on timeline and budget upfront—no surprises. We're flexible because we know startups pivot.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, we're happy to sign NDAs before discussing your project details. Confidentiality is standard practice for us.
SaaS Development
How do you handle multi-tenancy in SaaS applications?
We implement row-level security in PostgreSQL with tenant ID on every table. This ensures complete data isolation between customers without the complexity of separate databases per tenant. For enterprise clients needing dedicated databases, we can support that too.
What billing provider do you integrate with?
We primarily use Stripe for its reliability, feature set, and global coverage. We handle all the complexity: subscription management, trials, upgrades, downgrades, invoicing, and failed payment recovery. For businesses needing merchant of record services, we can integrate with Paddle.
Can you build enterprise features like SSO?
Yes. We design SaaS architectures with enterprise features in mind from day one. Even if you don't need SSO/SAML immediately, the foundation is there when enterprise customers require it. We also support team management, RBAC, audit logging, and API access.
How do you handle data privacy and GDPR?
We implement proper consent management, data export capabilities, and deletion workflows. We also help you draft privacy policies and ensure your data handling practices are compliant with GDPR and other regulations.
